This is just a brilliant and beautiful song, the authors of which have recorded a number of versions and performed it live in a number of configurations, each offering something new and special to the bare bones that make it up. Like a handful of the songs in their back catalogue, this one takes me back vividly to a particular point in my life; right after the events I address in the opening track on this album.

Choosing not to die, making the terrifying decision to leave your stable job and home of 27 years in pursuit of happiness, to let yourself believe there are good people in the world and that you deserve love. When I hear the hooks in this song, it's exhilarating and bittersweet in equal measure. Please seek out more by Radiator Hospital if you're not already familiar:
