This is a song about queer platonic crushes, feeling alienated by your local gay scene and wanting to talk to a guy in a nice blue shirt but chickening out. This song and 'Surface Sickness' were also recorded with Ally Morton in an afternoon at his house, as part of his 'Five Pence Game' project.

So these are definitely a lot more collaborative than the others we recorded together. For example, there's no way I would have come up with a drum track like this in a thousand years. It allowed all those overlapping vocals to happen and kept an otherwise very simple song feeling rich and textured all the way through.

But I wanted to resurrect this first demo as there's something about the lazy lo-fi sounding guitar parts and general audio confusion that I've always really liked. Now you have both versions. You're welcome, internet!
